Hilton La Romana All-inclusive Family Resort in the Dominican Republic
Our travel family had a blast Escaping The Bubble in the Dominican Republic for Brooke’s birthday! We booked our stay at the beautifully renovated Hilton La Romana All-Inclusive Resort. Unbeknownst to us, we were literally the first family to check in after the post-pandemic reopening of the resort! They rolled out the red carpet for us and our service was top notch from the moment we arrived. They literally had a circus and fireworks surrounding us as we walked through the lobby! This was a complete surprise!
We were greeted and welcomed by the whole staff and it was a fun reopening party from the get-go! We received the VIP treatment during our stay at this beautiful resort. The staff was very friendly and this was one of the nicest Hilton properties we have stayed at! The resort lies on its own stretch of white sand beach on the Caribbean side of the island.
The resort consists of a family and an adult side—each with its multiple pools, restaurants, and activities. We spent our days bouncing between the pools and the beach. The resort included beach activities such as SUP and Brooke's favorite activity - kayaking! One of the highlights was the resort's water park! Seriously!
The Hilton had a brand new waterpark with multiple waterslides, a lazy river, a pool, and a little kids' splash area. We had so much fun at this waterpark for several days during our stay. The resort had fantastic restaurants with an abundant choice of cuisine and a sumptuous buffet available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort also had great activities for the kids and adults.
They had a kid and teen center with multiple games and activities, and each night there was a show after dinner. The performances varied from singers, acrobats, dancers, and our favorite show - the Michael Jackson Thriller impersonators. Our days were packed with fun from morning to night! We also took an excursion off the property to Isla Saona and Piscina Natural. This was a guided day excursion booked through the resort.
A boat picked us up from the beach, and we took a catamaran to Isla Saona for lunch and a few hours of exploring the beautiful beach on the island. The second half of the day was spent starfish hunting at a shallow sandy reef called Piscina Natural. The water was so clear and warm as we swam and waded around the sandy bottom, looking for bright orange starfish! It was such a fun day!
We had such a blast at the Hilton La Romana and highly recommended this resort for families and adults looking for a great all-inclusive beachside property. The resort felt brand new. The amenities, accommodations, hospitality, and staff are top-notch! We had a fantastic time in the Dominican Republic and were sad to leave the island.
